Our Experience

Established 1979 — Fire protection engineers serving South Africa country wide.

Introduction

We have been established for the past forty-seven years and specialise in fire protection, Early warning Fire Detection Systems, Analogue addressable early warning fire detection systems, Automatic gas suppression systems, Vesda Aspirating Systems, Supply and service of fire equipment, Access Control and Intercom installations.

We are prepared to carry out work country wide. We are 100% black ownership. All technical staff are SAQCC certified. We have seven sets of installers with reliable company vehicles. We have a fully equipped workshop to carry out any size installation.

Fire and Security Systems have supplied and installed analogue addressable fire detection systems combined with beam detection and aspirating systems at:

  • Sealtron — Dube Trade Port
  • ERF 776 — Dube Trade Port
  • ERF 780 — Dube Trade Port
  • 10 Hibiscus Southgate, Amanzimtoti

Fire and Security Systems has supplied and installed early warning fire detection systems combined with automatic pyro-shield suppression gas systems at various sites nationwide.

Fire and Security Systems have carried out installations for Absa Bank, First National Bank, and Nedbank.

Affirmative Action Policy

We have identified potential formerly disadvantaged employees and promoted them to positions of authority within their capabilities. They have been given internal training which has proved satisfactory and we will continue to offer training for their individual gain as well as promotions. The above company has created employment for the previously disadvantaged.

The company provides free accommodation with basic facilities which includes a kitchen, toilet and shower, room with beds and a television set. Social functions are organised by the company such as braais. Sports Fun Days are also organised with other companies.

Internal technical training has been given to unskilled workers to gain experience. Unskilled workers received certificates for project induction courses. Some employees have attended training courses on fire protection.

The company has made several donations to various charitable organisations as well as black educational institutions. We have contributed to sports functions held by the local fire department for various communities.

Entity Structure

Fire and Security Systems CC is the holding company and we are based in central Durban where our administration, receiving and despatch, and workshop are fully functional.
