These Terms and Conditions govern your use of this website and the fire protection, detection, suppression and security services provided by Fire & Security Systems CC (Dragon Fire Systems C.C. trading as above, Reg. No. 2005/097033/23). By using our website, requesting a quote, or engaging our services, you agree to these terms.
We provide professional fire and security engineering services including, but not limited to:
- Fire detection and alarm systems
- Sprinkler, deluge and foam systems
- Gas suppression systems
- Fire equipment supply, servicing and maintenance
- Access control, CCTV and integrated security systems
- Fire risk assessments, evacuation plans and training
All work is carried out by SAQCC certified technical staff in accordance with applicable SABS standards, local authority requirements and industry best practice.
Quotations
Quotations are valid for the period stated on the quote, or 30 days if no period is specified. Prices may be subject to change after this period due to material costs, scope changes or regulatory requirements.
Acceptance
An order is confirmed when you accept our quotation in writing (including email) or when we commence work with your authorisation. Verbal instructions should be confirmed in writing where possible.
- Payment terms are as stated on your quotation or invoice
- Unless otherwise agreed, a deposit may be required before materials are ordered or work commences
- Invoices are payable within 30 days of date of invoice unless otherwise stated
- Late payments may incur interest at the rate permitted by law
- We reserve the right to suspend services for overdue accounts
You agree to:
- Provide safe and reasonable access to the site for our staff and vehicles
- Supply accurate site information, drawings and specifications where required
- Obtain necessary permissions from landlords, body corporates or authorities
- Notify us of any hazards, asbestos, live services or restricted areas on site
- Ensure a responsible person is available on site during installations where required
Workmanship
We warrant our workmanship for a period stated on your quotation or invoice, or 12 months from practical completion if not specified. This warranty covers defects arising from our installation or service work under normal use.
Equipment
Equipment and materials are covered by the manufacturer's warranty where applicable. We will assist with warranty claims but are not responsible for manufacturer defects beyond our supply obligations.
Exclusions
Warranties do not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, unauthorised alterations, power surges, vandalism, natural disasters, or failure to maintain systems as recommended.
Cancellation or variation of an order must be submitted in writing. You may be liable for costs already incurred, including materials ordered, labour mobilised and third-party charges. We reserve the right to vary the scope or price if unforeseen conditions are discovered on site.
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Our liability is limited to the value of the specific contract or invoice giving rise to the claim
- We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages including loss of profit, business interruption or data loss
- We are not liable for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure)
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under the Consumer Protection Act or other applicable law
